HISTORY
The  W.O.E. property was donated to the Western Oregon Exposition by the Daugherty family in August of 1956. The property has since been used to promote agriculture and industry in the Cottage Grove area.  Over the past 40 years, all of the buildings were built through donations and volunteer help.  During  this time the property has been used for its intended purpose and has been maintained to the best of its financial ability.
The business of the W.O.E fair is operated by an eleven member volunteer board, with other people and organizations helping with projects during the fair and throughout the year.
